Trainee Programme – Terms & Conditions
Important Notice:
By submitting this registration form, you acknowledge and agree that this programme is strictly a training opportunity. It is not a job offer, not an internship contract, and not a guarantee of employment. Any future coaching or administrative role will only be considered after successful completion of training and at the sole discretion of Academy management.
1. Purpose of the Programme
The South Africa Cricket Academy Trainee Programme provides structured training in coaching, operations, safety, child-centric engagement, administration, communication, and session management.
The programme’s objective is to improve skills, discipline, and readiness for potential future opportunities.
2. No Guarantee of Employment
2.1 Participation does not create any employment relationship.
2.2 Completing the programme does not guarantee a job, placement, or coaching assignment.
2.3 Employment, if offered, will be through a separate contract after performance evaluation and management approval.
3. Programme Structure
3.1 The programme follows a structured development path including:
Observation and assisted coaching
Co-leading drills and sessions
Independent coaching practice
Assessments and progress reviews
3.2 The Academy may adjust schedules, modules, or training locations at its discretion.
4. Behaviour & Conduct Requirements
All trainees must maintain professional behaviour, including:
Respect toward children, parents, staff, and management
Punctuality and reliability
Compliance with safety protocols
Appropriate communication and conduct at all times
Failure to meet these standards may result in immediate removal from the programme.
5. Safety & Child Protection
Trainees are required to:
Follow all safety and equipment procedures
Exercise caution when dealing with children
Maintain appropriate boundaries and communication
Report injuries, concerns, or incidents immediately
Safety violations or inappropriate conduct will result in termination.
6. Supervision & Performance Review
Trainees will be supervised by experienced Academy staff. Performance evaluations may include:
Daily feedback
Logbook submissions
Mid-programme review meetings
Final assessment by senior coaches
Only trainees who meet the required competence levels may be considered for future coaching roles.
7. No Payment or Allowances
This programme is unpaid. Trainees will not receive remuneration, stipends, transport allowances, or reimbursements unless explicitly provided in writing by management.
8. Uniform & Training Material
Certain trainee roles may require uniform items (e.g., shirts, socks, caps, tracksuits).
Uniform costs are the responsibility of the trainee unless otherwise specified.
9. Confidentiality
Trainees may not share Academy operational information, training methods, drills, systems, or internal documentation without written approval.
10. Media & Images
By participating, trainees consent to the Academy using images or videos captured during training for communication and marketing purposes. Written request is required for exclusion.
11. Termination of Training
The Academy may terminate a trainee’s participation at any time due to:
Misconduct
Poor performance
Safety breaches
Incomplete attendance
Behaviour contrary to Academy values
Operational requirements
12. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting the registration form, you confirm that:
You fully understand this is a training opportunity only.
You have no expectation of employment.
You voluntarily agree to follow all Academy rules and conditions.
The Academy has full discretion regarding future opportunities.
