Lethabo Maselesele, captaining the Lions Green, was a standout performer with both bat and ball. She amassed an impressive 108 runs off 144 balls, averaging 15.43 with a high score of 45. Her all-round abilities shone as she also took 5 wickets in 14.5 overs, delivering 59 dot balls and maintaining an economical bowling rate of 5.46. Thandile Bobotjane Impresses with Her All-Round Contributions for Lions Blue
Thandile Bobotjane, representing Lions Blue, showed promise with the bat, scoring 38 runs off 65 balls, with a high score of 15 and an average of 7.60. She also bowled 10.5 overs, delivering 46 dot balls and maintaining an economy rate of 6.37. Her consistent contributions were crucial to her team’s campaign.
Mosibudi Mangena (Shibu) Achieves a Rare Milestone for Lions Orange
Mosibudi Mangena, playing for Lions Orange, made history by carrying her bat through an entire 20-over innings—a remarkable and rare feat in cricket. This achievement underscores her focus and resilience as a batter. In the tournament, Shibu scored 32 runs off 112 balls, with a high score of 19. Her bowling performance also stood out, with 1 wicket and 40 dot balls from 12.2 overs. Shibu’s efforts exemplify dedication and mark her as a future star for South African cricket.
