Shiraz Perumal – A Record-Breaking Match Winner
Now the 1st XI captain at Clifton College, Shiraz has established himself as one of the most impactful schoolboy cricketers in the country.
• 95 wickets in 2025, a Clifton College school record
• Previous record-holder with 62 wickets in Grade 10, which he later surpassed himself
• Made his 1st XI debut in Grade 9, immediately performing under pressure
• Selected for Dolphins – Khaya Majola Week
• Represented the Coastal Conquerors at CSA Cubs Week
A leg-spinner with an attacking mindset inspired by Shane Warne, Shiraz is renowned for his courage, variation, and ability to change games from seemingly unwinnable positions. Coaches consistently highlight his hunger for wickets, mental strength, and relentless work ethic, qualities shaped and reinforced over years of structured Academy training.
